Can I use Laso cards with PayPal Pay in 3 for purchases over $1,000?

PayPal’s installment (“Pay in 3”) feature usually won’t accept prepaid cards, because it needs a payment method that supports recurring billing and risk collection.

Unfortunately, prepaid cards (Laso or otherwise) cannot be used for PayPal's Pay in 3 feature, because that feature relies on being able to collect on those payments later on. This is a limitation set by PayPal's risk management system, not by Laso.

However, you can connect your Laso card to PayPal for regular purchases, and this is actually recommended as it increases the likelihood of transactions completing successfully.

For purchases over $1,000, you can use PayPal's Split Payment feature, where you can use two cards to make a payment. This allows you to purchase something that is up to $2,000 using two $1,000 Laso Finance cards.

This is a good workaround for larger purchases while still staying within the $1,000 daily spending limit per card that is required by FinCEN regulations.

Remember that while you can add your Laso card to PayPal and spend at businesses, you cannot transfer funds from your card to your PayPal balance as this is considered a transfer of value which is prohibited.
