Let me first of all welcome you to Laso Finance. We appreciate you trying our products out and choosing privacy over your everyday spending. In this article we will guide you through your first steps with Laso Finance from getting a crypto wallet to creating an account with Laso Finance, all the way to spending your funds in the real world with your first card. Let's get into it!

Creating an account

with one of the networks above, you will then be able

to deposit BTC within the Deposit process in your account.

Selecting Ethereum (EVM) or Solana will give you an option to log in with e-mail also. To continue without connecting a wallet and create an account with e-mail, click here for the step by step guide.

Choose your wallet or WalletConnect

Laso Finance utilises ReOwn's App Kit, which supports 540+ wallets, already installed wallets will show first in the list.

Don't have a wallet already? You can follow these steps to download a new wallet or you can sign-up with Email address.

Once you choose your wallet, you will be prompted to connect your wallet and sign a transaction to confirm you are the owner of the wallet.

Read the information regarding blockchain wallets and then click 'Get a wallet':
You can then choose which wallet to install and you will be redirected to the homepage for that wallet to learn more:

Creating an account with email

Please note: This process will create a set of addresses for you within Laso Finance which you can deposit to directly from your personal wallet.

Input your email address that you want to sign up with:
Next you will receive an email with a 6 digit code in order to confirm the email address:

The email will be sent from [email protected], make sure to check your spam folder also if you don't see the email within your inbox.

You must enter the code within 20 minutes.
Your account is now created and you will be taken through the onboarding flow.

Connecting Metamask wallet to Laso Finance

To download Metamask wallet, click here.

Within Metamask, you will choose which account to connect to Laso. It will default to connecting the currently open wallet within Metamask.

If you wish to change account that you are connecting, you can do so by clicking Edit accounts and selecting the account you wish to connect.
After connecting, you will be asked to sign a message to verify that you own that wallet:

Once you have signed the transaction, you will be logged in to your newly created Laso Finance account.
Please note: Every time you sign in to Laso Finance you will be required to sign the transaction to confirm you are the owner of the wallet you are connecting.

Connecting Phantom wallet to Laso Finance

To download Phantom wallet, click here.

Phantom will open and request you to confirm the connection. The currently selected wallet within Phantom will be selected as default, you can change wallet by clicking in top-right corner and choosing which wallet to connect:
In your browser you will be then be promtped to sign a message to confirm you are the owner of that wallet:
Phantom will open once again where you will be asked to confirm and sign the transaction from your wallet:

3. Once you have confirmed the connection and signed the transaction to confirm ownership of that wallet, you will be brought to our onboarding flow.

Firstly, you will be asked to confirm what country you are in.

Why does Laso want to know what country I am in?

Based on your IP address, there will be a country automatically selected.

4. Next, you will be asked where you would like to get a card to spend.

Here you can check that retailers where you plan to spend have past successful transactions already with our cards. You can check this information at any time on our Merchants list.

If you're unsure at this time, you can also click the Skip button in the top right hand corner for this step.

5. Next, you will be shared some information regarding prepaid cards with which you must agree, 'I understand the limitations above':

Now that you have your account created, it's time to deposit funds to your account.

Depositing funds to Laso Finance

Now it's time to make your first deposit to Laso Finance.

Minimum deposit

Before depositing, make sure to verify the product that you would like to purchase and any minimum purchase amounts involved. There is no minimum deposit amount to Laso Finance, however, all of our products have a minimum purchase amount.

Please note: The minimum withdrawal is $5, if you deposit less than this amount, you will need to make another deposit to ensure your balance is above the minimum for withdrawal.

Now let's go through the steps to depositing and funding your Laso Finance account.

Open the Account Dashboard - If you've followed the steps to above, you'll likely be there already.

If you haven't created an account yet, you can start here, or follow these steps to log in with Metamask, or Phantom
From the Account Dashboard, click on 'Deposit', or go to the Deposit page directly here.
Choose the Network and Token you wish to deposit.

Select which network you have your funds on and would like to deposit:
Once you have selected the network, it will default to USDC token which you can then change to the other supported tokens for that network, see next step. For the full list of supported networks and tokens, click here.

Please Note: If you connect a Solana wallet, you will only have the option to deposit via Solana or Bitcoin. This is because we do not have user specific deposit addresses for EVM chains (On our roadmap for this quarter).

In order to deposit on Ethereum or another EVM chain, please connect the Ethereum/EVM wallet that you hold your funds on.
You will now have the option to send funds to the address, or to Deposit from wallet, which gives you the option to deposit directly from the connected wallet.

If you are depositing via address & QR, you will see the screen below. Copy the Deposit address and paste in your personal wallet to send funds and deposit them to your Laso Finance account. Within your wallet you can choose the amount to deposit:

If your balance is showing 0, you are most likely either connected with a different wallet than you have your funds on, or you have connected on a different network.
Once confirmed, which should take maximum a few minutes for Solana/Ethereum/EVM network deposits, you should see your funds in your account balance.

Great, now you're ready to buy your first card.

Do I need to deposit via the Laso Finance website?
No, simply send your stablecoins to your deposit address in Laso from your Laso-connected wallet address, and they will be automatically deposited to your card.
Please note: If you send a deposit from a different address than your Laso-connected address, it will not be credited, because we do not know which account the deposit belongs to. You must deposit from the same address that you are currently logged in with.

Buying your first card

Now that you have deposited funds to your Laso Finance account, you are ready to buy your first card.

Buying an International Non-Reloadable card

Before purchasing, we would highly recommend you read the FAQs and also check 'Places to Spend' to verify that we have had past successful transactions at the merchant that you wish to use the card.

Click 'Order Card' to begin the process of purchasing your new International Non-Reloadable card:
Input the value of the card you wish to purchase, or click Max to order the maximum value card according to your balance:
Next, you must set a name and custom billing address for the card.
Please note: This address must be a real U.S. address because these cards are issued in the U.S. and require a U.S. billing address.
Finally, you must confirm the details and amount for the card:

If everything is correct and you're happy, you can complete your order by clicking 'Submit Order'.
Please note: There is a manual redemption process for International NR cards, this can take up to 24 hours, usually, during the week it is much quicker than that, however, during the weekend wait times can be longer.
Finally, once the card is redeemed by our team, you will see it in the Cards section of your account.

Buying a US/CAD Non-Reloadable card

Please note: Unless you are physically located in the US, or Canada, these cards will not work for you. Don't try to bypass this, if you do it will result in a card that you will be unable to spend and potentially the loss of funds. More info here!

Buying a gift card

You will see a range of gift cards available:
Select the gift card you would like to purchase and you will be brought to the product page:
Select the country you wish to order for, the value of the gift voucher and you can then click Order to proceed with buying your card:
Refunds are not possible so please be sure of your selection.
Once you have purchased your card, it will be displayed for you and you can proceed with adding it on the relevant retailer's website, in the instance of our screenshots, on adidas Spain.

You can always check your purchased cards on the Cards section of your account.

Withdrawing funds from Laso Finance

Please note: The minimum withdrawal is $5, if your balance is lower than this amount, you will need to deposit more funds so that your balance is above the minimum of $5

Now if you want to withdraw funds from your Laso Finance wallet to your onchain wallet, you will follow these steps:

Go to the Withdraw page:
Now you will see the withdrawal page where you can set the amount to withdraw and initiate the withdrawal:

Once initiated, the funds should show in your connected personal wallet within a few minutes:

Note: In the vast majority of cases, withdrawals are initiated and
completed within a few minutes. In rare cases, these withdrawals will
go to a manual review process which can take up to 24 hours.
